Concord History

Starting Out

Concord saw its beginning in the hospitality business. The company became a franchise of ViCorp Restaurants in Denver Colorado – the parent company for Village Inn Pancake House Restaurants.    Over the years Concord operated multiple Village Inn restaurants in Nebraska and Kansas.

Development Continues

Concord continued its path of developing restaurant locations, and signed on with Applebee’s International – the parent company of Applebee’s Neighborhood Grill & Bar as a restaurant franchisee.  Following multiple restaurant builds, rebuilds, and franchise acquisitions, Concord built a system of 45 restaurant locations across a nine state region. The Applebee’s concept was sold to a private equity company in December of 2012.

Concord Expands to BBQ

Concord starts its expansion in the BBQ business, as it signs on with Famous Dave’s of America – the parent company of Famous Dave’s BBQ to build restaurants and expand the brand. Over the years, Concord opened restaurant locations in both the Kansas and Missouri areas.

Life Changing Chicken

Continuing on in the restaurant industry, but shifting directions to a fast-casual approach, Concord starts its franchise relationship with the Slims Chickens restaurant brand based out of Fayetteville, Arkansas. Concord currently owns and operates 2 Slim Chickens locations in Lincoln, NE.

Access Point is Born!

Concord recently announced the renaming of their office building at 1701 Windhoek Drive to Access Point. Access Point is now being featured as a collaboration center for business owners looking for higher-end office space, in a shared work environment with other local professionals.
